Zoning Commission

The Scioto Township Zoning Commission is composed of five Scioto Township residents of the unincorporated area who serve a five year term and an alternate member, all appointed by the Trustees.  The following is a list of the current board members and their term expiration dates:

·        Chair Mike Roese (through 2016)

·        Chris Beavers ( through 2017)

·        Mary Hamilton (through 2018)

·        Sandy Childers (through 2014)

·        Holly Powell (through 2015)

·        Alternate  Jason Taylor










The responsibilities of the Zoning Commission include reviewing and recommending changes to the Scioto Township Resolution and map. 

Meetings are held as needed on the third Tuesday of the month at 8:00 p.m.     

Board of Zoning Appeals

The Scioto Township Board of Zoning Appeals is composed of five Scioto Township residents of the unincorporated area, who are appointed by the Township Trustees to a five-year term.  The current Board members and their term expiration dates are:         

  •   Chair Rick Kulich (through 2018)

  •   Pearl Braskett (through 2016)

  •   John Reidy (through 2017)

  •      Don Lowry (through 2014)

  •   Angie Martin (through 2015)

  •   Alternate JoAnne Swisher

The authority of the Board of Zoning Appeals is established by the Ohio Revised Code and limited to hearing an appeal of an adverse ruling by the Township Zoning Department, a request for a variance from the Scioto Township Zoning Resolution, and a request for a conditional use as listed in each zoning district in the Zoning Resolution.

Meetings are held as needed on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M.
